Then join the Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Gesellschaft. Your membership will help the society support academic research into Handel’s life and work, whilst also providing a surrounding cultural programme. As a member of the society you will receive advance booking for the Handel Festival in Halle, the Händel-Jahrbuch, in addition to opportunities for lively discussions and encounters, also as part of regular cultural excursions. The General Assembly will take place every year during the Handel Festival.

Membership fee

The annual membership fee is at the moment:

40,00 € single member,
55,00 € couple (you will get your post and the Handel Yearbook one together),
15,00 € school pupils or students (up to 27 years old),
40,00 € institutions.

The membership fee is due in the first quarter of each year and is payable in person at the office by SEPA direct debit, bank transfer or during your stay in Halle.

The contribution rates are each a minimum amount. Additional donations for the work of the Georg Friedrich Handel Society are welcome. On request, we issue a donation receipt.

Payment options

SEPA direct debit

We recommend payment by SEPA direct debit. The collection of your membership fee will take place in this case in the middle of March of each year, without you having to worry about it. Contribution adjustments are decided by the general meeting and announced in good time before the direct debit collection to all members. The termination of the direct debit mandate is simply possible by a message to the office.

Your advantage: All information relevant to the tax return appears in the bank statement, so that for donations up to 200 € for presentation to the tax office a copy of the bank statement is sufficient.
